Re: Pulling out the big guns for my undiagnosed problem
>My question for you, the reader, is: Are my flare ups because I'm doing something RIGHT, or something WRONG?
>(i.e. "Is this a die-off of something" or "am I continuing to feed the beast - what else can I cut out of my diet?")
I think it's impossible to tell if you are getting die-off without knowing what you have. I often see people in Curezone talking about die-off without knowing what they have and without waiting for them to feel better to confirm if it was really die-off.
>one of my Drs gave me two doses of Nystatin, while it helped to clear up constipation and bloat temporarily, it came right back. The other doctor had me go off dairy products for 3 weeks to see if that would help, and did stool tests for O&P, C Diff and ghiardia. Negatory.
I have wasted 6 years of my life with this sort of BS, and I had two big problems. 1 finding a doctor that knew what the hell he was doing. 2 finding a
parasite test that actually worked.
If you are in USA, you might want to visit Dr Kevin Cahill in NYC for his test. I have tested with Jetty Katz, DiagnosTech, Quest Diagnostics, MetaMetrix and only Dr Cahill's lab was able to identify the problem in USA!!!
Besides Dr Cahill's lab, two other Brazilian labs were able to detect the protozoa that I had, Labion
http://labion.com.br/
and "Clinica Aloysio de Carvalho" both located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Labion was the better lab of the two because it was able to detect both E. Histolytica and Giardia, Clinica Aloysio was only able to detect Giardia.
Cahill's number is 1-212-879-2607 (you can get more of his info if you search)
You might want to buy a
parasite book. There is one out there that people like and I think its used in tropical disease college classes. Sorry I forgot the name. I think this might be the one
http://www.amazon.com/Hunters-Tropical-Medicine-Emerging-Infectious/dp/141604...
There are older cheaper versions out there I think...
Good luck and please report back. Some people get better and never tell us how they did it. Sharing this type of information can help other people that are suffering and don't know what to do.
