Re: Top supps.
Hi UM,
I never take Vitamin E at the same time as K2.
Could you elaborate on which K2 you took Mk7 of or Mk4 and what problems you had?
Notice that the article says "some" people, who take K2 MK7!
Thanks

The MK-7 form of Vitamin K2 is well researched as preventing bone loss in Japan via natto, but the maximum pill size is 100 mcg to 135 mcg for the reason that some find MK-7 very stimulating to their heart and makes it impossible to sleep. Since MK-7 is the bacterial form of Vitamin K2, the body doesn't handle it as fast and it can build up over 30 days to stimulating levels so you need to be aware of this. For example, taking three of the 500 mcg MK-4 and 100 mcg MK-7 pills would give 300 mcg of MK-7 each day which might well give some people harmless but very annoying heart palpitations. This is the reason some take the MK-4 only pills or liquids for their multiple daily doses. The MK-4 form is what the human body and all mammals make internally by nature.
In a huge European human clinical trial (The Rotterdam Study), doctors evaluated vitamin K intake of 4807 subjects over a 7-10 year period. After adjusting for other risk factors, coronary heart disease risk was reduced with increased intake of vitamin K2. Those who consumed the most vitamin K2 had a 57% reduction in cardiac disease compared to those who consumed the least K2.9

In another significant study, 344 postmenopausal women took vitamin K2 along with calcium and vitamin D. After 3 years, they showed no loss of bone strength, while the group that got placebos (instead of supplements) did exhibit bone loss.
