I've read that some folks have used strong neo magnets placed under the North Pole speaker to significantly enhance its efficacy.
Also the super zappicator, which is s seemingly popular device, utilizes up to 10 magnets instead of loudspeakers and some special coils to power them, which they keep in secret. Maybe we need to change or enhance Clark's basic instructions for the zappicator to make it work... who knows.
