How much melatonin have you been taking? I found that .25mg was enough for me.
5-HTP works well for some, but don't take it if you're using SSRIs of course. Works for me, but I can't take it nightly (at this dose) because I start getting manic after a few days.
I'd been sleeping really well for a long time, but then just recently started waking up in the middle of the night with racing heart. I had yogurt and nuts before bed recently and that didn't help, so I'm wondering if the common guess of hypoglycemia isn't what's going on with me. I
did recently change my supplements — I dropped NAC, digestive enzymes, zinc, and calcium+magnesium to test something out. Could be one or a couple of those were working for me to reduce night waking. I'll let you know if my situation improves as I add those back in.
