Four years of iodine, update.

Yes, it has been four years. Not the big changes anymore, but I still see improvements;

The biggest change lately is pain free periods for the first time in my life. Probably due to adding vit A (natural) to my regimen. Wombat had a few posts about it; I really wanted to try it; problem is that natural vit A is not to be obtained in my country (only beta carotene or cod liver oil with synthetic retinol added.)
- I believe it is because it is toxic, like iodine, borax etc (Sarcasm off)
So I had to buy capsules from the US, probably made from fish from my country.)
Kind of globetrotters, many of my supplements!

Also; being able to tolerate more magnesium has contributed.

I have simplified my supplement list as much as I can;

Iodine 100-150 mg almost daily
Selenium; 200 mcg daily (reduced from 400)
Magnesium citrate / malate; 3x 200 mg daily
Vitamin C; 1000mg x 3-4 times daily
Vitamin B; almost daily, low dosage but all of them.
Zinc; 50 mg a couple of times a week.
Vitamin A; 20.000 IU a couple of times a week.
Vitamin E; periodically when I can get hold of the natural ones.
Loads of real salt
Borax; 1/4 of a teaspoon in a capsule every other day.

I have had a long pause from Turmeric, but decided to pick it up again as I started to get more allergy, a little like I had before iodine. Turmeric works best for me if I take enzymes with it.
I also have a test on lechitin at the moment, but it is to early to conclude its effect.

The biggest difference of me vs other women at my age (not taking iodine) are;

-that I am pain free (most of them taking painkillers and or anti inflammatory medication on a regular basis)

Several on sedating stuff like sleep medication, Sobril et al. or asthma medication.
Way to many have Diabetes; it is an epidemic over here.

Most of them in their menopause, no sign of it in me yet.
Many of them have cancers, I have not. Breast, cervical, skin...
Many are hypo T, some take thyroxin others only have the symptoms but the test say its "normal", I am not hypo ANYMORE.
-we actually tested this on a cold night out, 4 women; I was the only one with warm hands.
I actually dont know any women at my age that dont have a regular medication.

Skin tone; MUCH better when iodinated.
Libido, high and steady.
In general, energy nice and high. I am not saying my health is perfect, still minor things to consider, but they are MINOR. I can live with what is now. My biggest problem is that having 3-4-5 jobs is to much, periodically, even for me. Iodine havent learned me how to say no, so far..

Will do the Iodine continiously the next years. I have a family full of cancers and other nasties. Nothing to loose. They all have a pretty good diet, so do I; in our case this is not the problem.
Short, I avoid all pre-pared food, all vegetable oils, all fast food, all pre-made spices (msg based most of them)
I have changed from vegetarian to a crave-itarian; that means what my body crave it gets. Now in the winter it is more meat and fat (grass feed as much as possible) I crave bone broths and marrow.. in the summer it is more greens and salads.

My dentist is bankrupt, so are my MD.
