Re: Does this sound like Seborrheic Dermatitis?
Hi, I was developing a scaly rash on my earlobes, and behind my ears, also on eyebrows, and around my nose and above my mouth. Finally I figured out this must be "
Seborrheic Dermatitis ", and I suspected this must be the work of the demodex mite. I am 55 y.o. so, by now, the mites are probably getting more and more numerous, probably because my sebaceous glands gradually dilate and get more plugged with age.
Since I do gardening, I have a ONE GALLON size of pure neem oil. I ordered this from a gardening supply centre. Probably you can order it in a
quart size. The oil turns solid at room temperature, so you need to warm it, and then mix with a carrier oil, at 1:10 ratio, or you can make it a bit stronger if you wish, but 1:10 is what I read. I mix it with peanut oil. Now I spread the oil with my fingers into my ears and AMAZING! the scaliness of the ears cleared right up in two days. I apply the oil 2-3 times a day, and very important to put it on at night, so when the bugs come out, they get suffocated in the oil. They HAVE to come out to mate, so there is no choice for them, and so that is how you kill them. Now that I am sure what the disease actually is, I
am also applying it to the rest of the affected areas on the face. I started with my ears because they were really bad, and my wife said it basically looked gross, and now she agrees it have all cleared up. so that is what I would say: for sure get some neem oil, mix up your own preparation, and get rid of the bugs.
