Re: Not all of your symptoms are caused by Mirena
It's worth noting that your symptoms are known symptoms of mirena. Doctors are uninformed as well. Compared to many birth control methods, mirena is relatively new, the list of side effects grows, and I doubt all doctors keep themselves up to date on it. Also, if they've only good results, they are likely to be bias and think that any symptoms being experienced are not caused by mirena. That doesn't mean they're right...even if they're doctors. Some symptoms just don't make sense with relation to mirena. With yours for example, a change in hormones could cause all of those issues. Hormones don't fit some of the problems these women are highlighting.
The posts that I commented on... have other options they can look into if taking out mirena hasn't helped. But I fear that instead of looking into these options, they have decided mirena is to blame and that the symptoms are permanent.
I use the term 'almost' because things affect people different. Almost no one will die from taking a tylenol...someone will. And when you are talking about female hormones...they will affect some women differently. So...if they take out mirena and they get better, great. If they aren't getting better, perhaps they should reevaluate whether mirena caused their problems.
I expressed concern, nothing more.
I do not have interest in engaging in confrontation for expressing an opinion simply because it differs from your own.
