Yes, I KNOW that the IUD was culprit for me because I had NO significant health issues before it was placed, and then they started up within a month of placement, and then worsened over the next 2 years until I had it out. I am doing better at 2 years post removal, but haven't had any other treatment other than time. I had a ton of tests done too, but they were ALL normal except for the ANA which was in the lowest titer, which wasn't enough to diagnose a true autoimmune disease. My neurologist acknowledged that ANY foreign object in the body can cause a rejection response. She said that if someone is having health issues without an apparent cause, they should have the foreign object removed (as long as it's not a life-sustaining one) to see if they improve.

I think that most of us on this forum do research other possible health problems. Usually we do this for awhile without answers before we start to consider the IUD. And I think that most of us do what we can to heal ourselves with improved diet and lifestyle changes. I have at least. Whether the IUD is the sole cause of health issues or just a catalyst is irrelevant. Having it out is the only way to start healing, and that's what this forum is for: to support each other through this process. Tweet
