Trouble with refeeding after 40 day fast.
Along with Archus i have to say great job on completing 40 days!
As usual i agree completely with Chris that juice alone is the best choice after such a long fast with no return to hunger. Additionally, the importance of this concept is far more pronounced if you are still experiencing nausia upon breaking, a pretty clear sign that your body wasn't really geared up to digest anything at all, much less whole fruits, fiber and all, as compared to just their juices which are quite a bit more digestively simple making them much more conducive to somebody in such a delicate state.
As to how you should proceed, if it was me i would just drink small quantities of juices that appealed to you... or if nothing appeals, then that which seems to be the least unappealing. Some fresh, live juices to choose between might be (preferably organics) orange, pineapple, grapefruit, watermelon, apple, red or yellow bell peppers, and/or carrot/celery/beet.
I also believe that some (fresh juiced) cooked juices are beneficial and might even be more settling in your situation. Some ideas for cooked are collard, kale, chard, broccoli, celery, onion, garlic, tomato and a bit later chili peppers. Once you are feeling better and feel that it will be well tolerated, the organic carrot/celery/beet juice would be highly recommended.
Keep it as light as possible until you begin to feel better at which point you can increase your juice intake and eventually move into whole fruits and vegetables.
Also, i thought you mentioned somewhere that you are having a hard time drinking water and if this is the case i would encourage not drinking it until you are thirsty for it. It probably goes against much of what you have heard and read, but drinking when not thirsty gives the body excess water to deal with and what we want is water in the right amount which is what you will get when listening to your body and drinking only to thirst.
Lastly, please be patient with yourself. Since you were not feeling well upon breaking such a long fast, try to relax as much as possible and be aware that your recovery will likely take longer than normal.
Waterdesign had a similarly difficult time in breaking her 40 or 40+ day fast of 17 months ago and you might find this thread worthwhile through its similarities to your situation:

I look forward to hearing about your positive results once you begin to feel better and you are able to recognize them. Very nice job in your fast and every best wish as you continue. : )
