after a 40 day water-only fast and without the return of hunger your digestion will need much re-nurturing to return to normal.
Juices only and only in small quantities, and then build up the quantity of juice slowly over a period of a few days. Nature needs TIME to re-establish the normal secretions/excretions of the body.
On the other hand if natural hunger had returned your body would be very receptive to nutrition, and digestion would have been in full swing from day one.
I wouldn't advise anyone to go beyond 40 days because of the risk of electrolyte deficiencies.
Please take it slowly and time will be your greatest aid.
