Re: supplements

This is from the talk I posted the other day:

-Hydroxocobalamin (sublingual drops, 2,000 mcg.)
-5L-Methyltetrahydrofolate (sublingual drops, 210 mcg.)
-Folinic acid (oral, 200 mcg.)
-Yasko’s General Vitamin Neurological Health Formula (multivitamin, multimineral) (oral, 2 tablets)
-Phosphatidylserine complex (oral, 500 mg.) or lecithin (oral, 1200 mg.)

Items 1, 2 and 4 are purchased from Amy Yasko and the other 2 you should be able to find anywhere.

Rich V posts regularly on the 'phoenixrising' forum and also on the 'cfs_yasko" yahoo group. If you go to either of those 2 he generally will answer questions.

I don't think sublingual is better - he just recommends it b/c it is much cheaper and easier.

The methylation panel is performed through Health Diagnostics and Research laboratory in New Jersey. Their contact data is at the top of this website: http://www.europeanlaboratory.nl

the test as of last summer was $300 and it's just a blood draw which you will ship to them or you can go there and have3 the blood drawn by the lab across the hall if you live close enough.

These are my results. The cysteine, naglase and FIGLu were not part of the panel.

RBC s-adenosylmethionine 312 umol/dl (221-256)
RBC s-adenosylhomocysteine 51.6 umol/dl (38-49)

5-ch3-thf 12 nmol/l (8.4-72.6)
10-formyl-thf 2.9 nmol (1.5-8.2)
5-formyl-thf 3.7 nmol/l (1.2-11.7)
