one of the very few predators of Dodder is a fungus, Alternaria destruens. Seems
possible that fungus is a side effect of what the organism is so I have not gone too heavy on the antifungals just in case it may be a helper.
one thing I have not seene available commercially is cutinase, break down the waxy coating plants protect themselves with. I think some bugs have the same system. Anyway the "plastic" film people speak of that coats the skin sometimes could be this. It seems to happen to me when I am taking something it does not like... maybe cutinase would help topicals work, maybe it secretes this inside, too, I guess it would.
