Re: How do I balance myself in this situation?
I can't answer all your questions, but I can give some suggestions. It would be helpful to know a little more about your history and what exactly you've been doing. Please describe the chelating protocol you're using. Is it the Cutler Protocol?
If you find your symptoms are intolerable, I suggest you try an anti-yeast treatment. Yeast overgrowth often goes hand-in-hand with heavy metal problems. It also seems to create more symptoms than the metals themselves.
Search for "candida symptoms" or something similar and see if it makes sense in your case.
The anti-yeast treatment is a drag and a half (especially the diet), but it could help you feel much better while you proceed with chelation.
I suggest you don't take a 2 week break between rounds of chelation. I took a 2 week break between rounds once and my reaction was quite a bit worse than usual when I restarted. 3-5 days followed by a similar break seemed best to me when I was using the Cutler Protocol. Everybody may have a different reaction to chelating though.
Are you drinking a lot of water to help flush out your liver and kidneys? Some people do liver flushes. I'm not sure if that would help (and you would need to be careful about overloading your system with too many toxins at once), but you could consider it if you like. Following a good diet and avoiding liver stressors probably goes without saying.
