Re: pH (how long does it take

>>"My question is - where does one find the scientific evidence to support this?"<<

Common sense is free... and well, just common sense.

>>"I don't worry about pH balance, never thought of it."<<

Nearly anyone who has been, and is eating nutrient dense, whole foods that make them *feel* good, avoiding those foods that make them feel bad, need not think about it at all.

>>"I do adjust what I eat/drink based on how my urine tastes."<<

Changes in urine pH changes the taste of urine. You are using a very good, reliable form of pH balancing principles and don't even seem to know it :-)

>>"So what is the point of even testing when we KNOW that a urine pH means nothing?"<<

You stated that urine pH did *mean something* by using the taste of it as a measure. Now in this question above, you are saying that tasting your own urine means nothing?

Which is it?

That is what people do not understand... they may be using *some form of pH measure* without even realizing it, in this case, you are using the taste of your own urine.

Condition of the skin, nails, eyes, hair, teeth, ears, etc. (only without the use of topicals that WILL mask *symptoms* of course) are all a reliable form of internal pH measure as well... and yes, these things, and their condition(s), can, and will fluctuate hour to hour, day to day, based upon the individual's lifestyle and dietary habits.
