Culpability of a rapist

Hang on - if you use prejudices and abstract ideas instilled by cultural/ social conditioning as a justification for saying that a female rapist is not responsible for her crime, then by the same token you could also say that a MALE rapist who was badly brought up or who was from a culture that was more tolerant of male rapists should not be blamed for his actions either.

Both suggestions are absolute rubbish. Everyone is fully responsible for a violent crime that they themselves commit of their own free will. It does not matter what strange ideas the wider society or the government may have.

Forcing sexua| acts and sexua| intercourse on an unwilling person using physical violence and inspite of their repeated refusals is definitely rape. Rape is one of the worst crimes an individual can commit. There can be no extenuation for it.

Anyhow, female on male rape is just beginning to be recogised as a crime, even though it will be a while before the public understand it properly.
