We can't really use this effect to our advantage because it will probably damage our human body before killing the parasites.

Maybe metal ions are dangerous for the human body at high doses but they may also be dangerous for parasites. I have used stainless steel and copper electrodes many hours with no side effects, but i have not managed to kill all parasitic worms so i don't know what to think about the efficiency of zappers.

That's what i felt too, with a higher voltage, the parasitic worms seem to be really disturbed and move a lot. The problem is that they move to areas of the body where there is less current flowing. And it may be dangerous to electrify the head with a high voltage.
