That is ridiculous what they are charging. Microsilica is nothing more than fumed silica and is widely used in industry for things such as cement filler/strengthener, as a refractory, as an anticaking agent, in drilling, in the rubber industry, for the making of sodium silicate, etc. So commercially this stuff is extremely inexpensive, which means this company is gouging people big time in my opinion. Actually they are charging over $10,800 per pound for something that costs around a $1.00 a pound to buy. Here is an example of pricing:
