Re: Overenthusiastic thyroid response to iodine

Jod Basedow is EXACTLY what happened to me as well a few weeks ago. My thyroid swelled so much my ultrasound technician thought I had goiter with multiple nodules. I stopped the iodine, had another ultrasound the next week and NOTHING... perfectly normal thyroid.

Lambee (and anyone else who has had this and gotten over it) - how did you prevent the thyroid from swelling again after re-starting the iodine? Tweet
