Re: tips for getting past the hump

Stay at it. Tomorrow is day 7 for me. This my first fast beyond 30 hours. I get the same mental cravings for food every other day. If food is on tv, I change the channel. If I'm around food, I leave. I have also gone and done a short workout which also helps. I found out that my cravings are not physical but a habit of how I used to eat and react to food. Force yourself to do something else and get away from it. You should find it goes away fairly quickly. Work is great because I stay busy enough so I never think about it. It's when I get home and relax when I find the mental stuff hits. I can't emphasize enough about staying busy.

I can definitely tell that I've got toxins floating around in my body and I don't want to stop until they are out. I will probably only go to approx 2 weeks simply because I need to do this a number of times to cleanse my system completely. I plan to eat extremely clean for a couple months and then do it again. I'm making progress each day and feel better each day. The first 5 days were the hardest. Hunger went away after 20 hours which was very nice. We're all out here experiencing the same things with you. Hang in there,
