You may be interested to know that my son...who now lives in LA....has been taking Ritalin since he suffered a mild stroke at the age of 21. Fortunately the only thing he lost with that stroke was some short term memory. Soon after that he was diagnosed with ADD. In the last 6 months....due to stress, and job change....his ability to concentrate and remember details had fallen dramatically and he presumed it was all due to ADD. About a month ago he was starting to feel desperate.

I put him on a strict allergy Elimination Diet and within 5 days he felt great and didn't even need Ritalin.
