Not offended in the least Doc10, and there are a great many things I like about people, societies etc, way too many to list on one post :)
I was pointing out an observation, about divisiveness, and how it destroys societies, and empires. This can be seen throughout history, and its what I'm observing in our world today. Refreshed gave a very good example of this divisiveness.
I'm not against christians at all, what I don't like is hypocrisy. Jesus, by all accounts I've read, was a humble man, a tolerant man, and advised people to be the same. Setting yourself above others, for either their political beliefs, or religious beliefs, or both as seen in a couple of posts, is neither humble nor tolerant, and not what I would have expected from someone that professes to be a christian, with strong faith.
For a society to be strong, it needs to be united in a common purpose, unfortunately in many countries, people are unable or unwilling to find common ground for the greater good.
