Re: Question for the ladies on the forum
This is from the book "Why Do I still have Thyroid Symptoms"
"Did you know that a pregnant mother can pass on adrenal dysfunction to her unborn child. Studies show that in her third trimester of pregnancy a woman with adrenal exhaustion will draw adrenal hormones from the baby through the umbilical cord. As a result, the child is at risk for being born with compromised adrenal function. Since adrenal dysfunction so greatly impacts immune and gut health, and since it is nearly universal these days, this helps explain the increasing rates of allergies, food intolerances, eczema, and autism among children, not to mention post partum depression".
We have not told our mom, because we don't want her to feel guilty. And I can see adrenal fatigue creeping in on my nephews and nieces. I'm sort of being the family naturopath.
By the way Maresydotes....don't feel guilty yourself. This is information that perhap 0.01% of doctors even know. I don't blame my mom at all. I feel bad she had to go through this as well, while raising 5 kids with an alcoholic for a husband.
They put her on valium for 5 years. Which probably calmed her nervous system down enough so she could recover. But she was a zombie during that period. Then she weaned herself off all on her own without any addiction support….strong lady. She’s 80 now. So you can still live long even after adrenal fatigue.
Oh...and I think the healing codes is working. I had this all typed in once and ready to hit send when my cimputer crashed. I just smiled. Normally I would have dropped the F bomb several times. I'm much more patient.
