Re: will there ever be a cure ?

I believe a cure is possible but the treatment is so extrict that many people fail to follow it correctly. ( I am one of them ) There are 3 important aspects you have to look at very close ! UNDERLAYING CAUSES, IMMUNE STATUS, BENEFICAL BACTERIAL FLORA.
Candida can not be cured if you are still taking Antibiotics , if you don't produce stomach acid, if you have an exocrine pancreatic defunction, if you have a hidden celiac disease, if you have a chronic Th 2 immune response caused by heavy metals, parasites, allergies, intolerances, viruses, etc, if you are totally lack of benefical flora, etc.
You have to look at what is causing it.
One, if not the most prevalent cause of treatment failure isn't following a right diet. The diet MUST be respected totally to reach a cure. ( hard to do )
Another thing is to find effective antifungals ( no monotherapies) candida can not be erradicated using only one antifungal. Combining antifungals is the best way, sometimes Rx with naturals, but the naturals should be eliminated later to allow the flora recover. The naturals are Antibiotics , and if we continue taking them, there won't be a chance to the flora. Also, using naturals without a sensitive culture is gambling because not all candida strains are sensitive to all of them. A fecal colonic implant could be a good idea. There are probably some candida cases that are harder to be cured or probably impossible so far caused by genetic problems and severe immune tolerance to fungus.

You probably will tell... So, Why are you still here and not cured??
My answer:
I have never followed a right diet !! Yes, I cheat and paying a hard price for it. (girlfriend, parties, friends with boats in Miami to go fishing, etc ) Hard to follow a diet in this enviroment.
I may have an UNDERLAYING cause that don't allow me to heal ( celiac, heavy metals, atrophic gastritis, pancreatic calcification, immune defunction )
I haven't discovered what is my underlaying cause !!!!! ( probably more than one )
