Re: Do you know what's happening?
Liver Cleanses can be done in different ways, and most people do some variation of
Hulda Clark 's method (start around noon and drink grapefruit, lemon juice, olive oil and
Epsom Salt and then lie down).
A proper liver cleanse, which is what I had in mind, takes at least three days of fasting. If you did that, it is exhausting for someone who is already not well. If you did the first type, even that is not the best idea because first of all it really does not flush the liver, and secondly it is still stress on your body.
I have seen people getting worse after a liver cleanse due to their previous condition. It does not mean that one should not do it (I have done it and it did exactly what I expected it would do); but like with everything else, if something is not helping a great deal relatively fast (a few days to a couple of weeks in the worse case), then it is a wrong medicine, whatever it is. The only exception is Herxheimer type reaction which may take longer, but even that happens rarely.
Listen to yourself more then to what others say: if your body is feeling better, then go for it. But if overall you are not noticing significant improvement, then maybe it is better to put those energies into finding what the real culprit is and attacking that with full force. A liver flush, properly done, is not really needed more then once in many years, if that. It is only needed by those who have infected liver by
parasites or viruses, or who have toxins accumulated there; once flushed properly, there is no need to repeat it.
