Interesting that you say the bad effects may be felt only over time. See, when I used fish oil, I started to feel the bad effects after a few weeks. Stopping using it caused my hunger to shoot way up after a few days.

But... after that, ANY time I took something with any ALA in it, such as simply food that contained flax as an ingredient, or any supplement that had ALA as an ingredient, I would get a powerful headache that lasted for hours shortly after eating the food or taking the supplement.

Now, however, taking this Heavy Metal Cleanse, I feel better every day. I'm only on the third day so far, and my hunger has gone down quite noticably. It's a lot more normal now, and it was abnormally high in the past. So far, I'm experiencing only good things. Bear in mind, this product also contains chelators, and I am separately taking vitamin E, selenium and zinc, and large dose (6g in my case) vitamin C to also chelate, in addition to the chelators built into this product.

Do you still expect things to get worse over time?

Oh yeah, my dentist said my Amalgams were "smaller than small", and he used rubber dams and suction. I've heard about people having so many amalgams, and ones so large, that they only get a few removed at a time. I had two small ones. It might be the case that a lot less mercury was dumped in me by their removal?

Also, "L-Leucine when taken with NAC prevents mercury from being reabsorbed into the central nervous system." Supposedly. This product contains both in equal measure (25mg per capsule). ALA is at 10mg.
