Re: Sarah Vaughter's Lufenuron - DO NOT SUPPORT this woman!
Excellent post. That made for some great reading. Got my blood up. It is a bit of a microcosm of what people go through who have maladies not recognized by mainstream medicine.
I recognize that everyone is entitled to their point of view, and Sarah certainly has hers. That's something that I like about her. Throughout my ordeal with Candida, I tried to take the best ideas from a multitude of sources and didn't get too invested in any one way of thinking.
I do admire Sarah's hardline "scientific" approach, but she does bristle somewhat too easily. Still, I don't think you should throw the baby out with the bathwater. I think you should pursue any avenue or treatment that you find interesting, and not too dangerous, so I'm interested in what comes of your experiment with hypothiocyanate.
Regarding Sarah, I think she makes some excellent points, but loses points when she refuses to discuss the issue with Dr. Richard Stead. Most of all, I was disappointed that she removed the thread from her site, unfortunately that shows a bit of weakness.
Still, I like her and feel that she does have a good "heart" so to speak.
Also, she's making very little from the sale of Lufenuron. Her prices are a fraction of what Novartis charges, and Novartis has no intention of marketing Lufenuron to humans as the trials would be costly, and they already have a category leaders with lamisil (terbinafine) and Vfend (voricanazole).
Thanks for the post.
