Re: why does weight loss slow down after a week?

Scientifically ill leave the others to answer this question

my own experience dictates that if you force yourself to stick to a strict refeed plan and just suffer out the hunger for one week post fast, then you will have developed sufficient control to not binge the week after. The week after would, depending on legnth of fast be the week you start to include some grains- which when refiend and baked with cheese added leads to BINGE!!!

I think the increase in hunger short term post fast is your body's way of saying OMG ive drained my reserves, I should top up for when this happens again! - Once you have showed it that sensible amounts of quality food is coming along on a consistant basis, this hunger should return to normality!
