Re: why does weight loss slow down after a week?

Your metabolism will always depend on your body size and need! As you become smaller you will naturally need less to function, hence you will have to eat less to maintain.

Metabolism always slows down when it works out what the predicted intake of energy is and what the predicted output will be. Human body is programmed to store fat where ever possible and its your metabolisms job to ensure only the absolutly necessary amounts of cals are used and rest saved up for a rainy day!

Your metobolism becomes even more efficient after a fast, and so yes it means eating less and having more energy - this is beneficial to your health both physical and mental and should not be seen as a bad thing. All you gota do is eat in a way that your body's fat reserves are starved but not your nuitritional needs! Its the only way forward
