Re: No more than one cup..Re: Quick question on echinacea tincture
Hi Willow,
I am so glad you agree with me on the amount. I have been meaning to post that message to you about that one cup amount. Your one cup each in a half gallon was exactly what I did last time. I think I have made echinacea tincture four times and that had more float than I have ever had. I finally got enough vodka. YAY! I have just one half gallon jar. It has the clamp. I would buy some more with just wide mouth rings and lids if I could find them locally. Otherwise I'll just use
quarts. I'm ahead enough on making tinctures that I can NOW just make one a month and that makes it easier because you're not having to rinse the blender out between the different herbs. So, the next time I make echinacea I may do six
quarts because that is the one I take most of and also supply my husband, kids, and kids' spouces with...or will do more of that after I have enough.
I have been right here. I am on the forum every day/night reading or searching. Last week a distant friend asked me if I had any suggestions for osteoarthritis. I searched the forum and found your post on solomon's seal. I sent that to her. That was a week ago and she never answered to tell me she was interested or anything. However, it has reminded me to try it.
I'm slow to do some of the things for cleansing. I am behind on so many life things. You know how getting rid of stuff is supposed to help? Well I am trying to work on that some. I know....I am not doing as good as a lot people on the forum but I think I'll get there. At least I figured out what was causing my teeth pain...the cordless phone.
It's good to hear from you and I'm soooo glad we're in agreement on that one cup. I had just enough room left to shake it. I found some cheaper vodka too...$15 minus 10% per 1.75 liters if I buy six of them.
