Hi teraza! I did not know what Zn wasting was, so a search brought up this page at noamalgams.com. It makes sense. I never took more than 44 mg of zinc picolinate, and I was on a raw vegan diet before I touched iodine. I was also zinc deficient as a raw vegan, according to data in my nutrient tracker, so I probably could not "undo" the deficiency so quickly.

I've tried to learn more about the adrenals but admit they are still a mystery to me. My skin remains extremely dry and my COPD has returned, although in a milder state. My legs were extremely swollen for 2.5 months. Ginagirl recommended licorice root powder which I still take. I was also consuming ascorbic acid in water as per Newport's Adrenal Mix. Aside from that, most web sites say to rest as much as possible which I have been doing. Maybe the adrenals are still recovering from the initial toxic storm?

Unfortunately, I didn't do a hair test before I started iodine. I didn't know about mercury, heavy metals or Cutler back then. I have read that it's important to keep doing the hair test regularly, so was planning to do one every two months.

Iodine is itself a detoxifying agent, no? Do you instead mean to not chelate? I know iodine stirred up stuff into my blood, most likely mercury and other metals. I don't know how anyone could avoid the hospital experiencing what I did in my initial detox. So, I have come to expect that some permanent damage has been done to my brain or body. It makes me upset but the way I see it, if I did not start iodine, I would not have learned so much about health and toxicity. Oh well.
