It's a plausible theory, but there are 2 things I'm trying to wrap my brain around:

1. Wasn't it mentioned up above that bits of mercury are attracted to each other and tend to clump, and that when mixed into the Amalgam it loses this property and basically becomes inert? Either form, how then would there be this "repelling" action going on?

2. Are "diffusion" and "equilibrium" really the right words here? Actually what I mean is--sure there's water in all our cells, but can Hg move around the body so easily, detach from wherever it's lodged just b/c the concentration in the mouth suddenly decreased? Hg never struck me as something that tends to be evenly distributed in the body, but hey, who knows.

Would be amazing if this turns out to be truly confirmed.
