Re: Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it

Thank you for taking the time to look this up, but that isn't what's causing mine. I eat well, eat yogurt every day, try to keep my body alkaline to make my body inhospitable.

Onchocerciasis (river blindness) is quite different from what I have. It is a worm, but it's a different worm, that causes blindness in many cases. It progresses much faster than what I have as well. I have strongyloides, which can pretty much lay dormant in your body for many, many years until something triggers it to go into hyperinfection.

I have tried to find information about cutaneous strongyloides and the damage they do to your skin, but have found nothing so far. The "lizard skin" is the same, caused by the same action of the worms...tearing through your skin right under the surface and depositing toxic wastes, plus scarring caused when they come tearing through your skin to get out, but there is nothing online about it for strongyloides. Believe me, if I had onchocerciasis, I'd be blind by now, from what I read. I've had this close to 20 years.

I do appreciate the encouragement, though.
