Your experience is an exact carbon copy of what I experienced when trying to get help from doctors for my severe breath odor. I even wrote a complaint letter to complain about the lack of concern one particular doctor seem to have in helping me get to the bottom of this.

The only difference is I didn't get letters from people at work I dragged family relatives with me and had them confirm that the fecal sulphur odor I emitted is so bad that it fills up an entire room in offices where I work, or anywhere I go. My relative explained that its embarassing, people complain wherever I go and that its been emotionally traumatizing for me.

The doctor still claimed he could smell nothing and that the tests showed nothing so there was nothing left to do other than to try seeing another specialist. (I'd already seen a GI by that time who said there was evidence of acid reflux and he prescribed meds for that.)

Now my approach is I've made a lengthy list of some of the more notable doctors (mostly GIs) in my area and I plan to spend all of next week calling and asking if the doctors have any experience or have had any success in treating people with chronic odor disorders or anything like that and see what I'm able to come up with.

Have you considered doing the TMAU test. I'm also considering that but I have to travel to another state to do it I think.
