Re: Day 12 of Post 31 Days Fast - Summaries and rants

Hi MST! Nice to see you again.

Thank you. I am feeling great everyday and am about to embark on a journey to Iodine Supplementation to correct my hypothyroid and overall health. The feeling I got before my Water Fast is the feeling I got for Iodine. I have faith it will help me the way fasting has greatly helped me.

Idk if you saw this but here is my day 3 post fast with the a little summary:

Now to answer your questions:

What exactly led you to break the fast when you did?

I think my body was telling me to just stop it. I was salivating and I was feeling pain everywhere (bedsore). I could not even stand up properly. I was whiting out when I went to use the bathroom. My body was very emaciated almost like Jack Skellington. I was about to end it Day 30, but I wanted to squeeze out one more day so I waited till 1:00am at night and broke it with cantaloupe juice. Later a little broth.

How were you feeling right before you broke your fast?

A little scared but more pain. My mind was torn but my body was yearning for something anything to put in my body. If I had to guess my body fat % at that point, it would be around 3%. I could be wrong. Maybe more maybe less. I was like this is it. When I broke it, it was like wow this Watermelon is too sweet. I made sure to sip the juice little by little and the with saliva. After 15-20 minutes, my mind which was so active started spacing out. I son't know if it was a Sugar rush or something. It wasn't as heavenly as I thought it would be. Next morning I had undiluted cantaloupe juice and it was just right. :]]]] and then later that night vegetable broth. NOW THAT WAS HEAVENLY.

The other questions are answered above and the one about my appetite, I had a feeling my true hunger was approaching but if I waited any longer, I might have to be hospitalized. Hunger came gradually each day. The first three days, as you can tell by my almost passing out while urinating, that I was not adequately putting calories in me. I was still losing more weight and than gaining. I stepped it up eating a whole slew of different vegetables and fruits this last week and a half.

The other day though, I had a stomach ache and was worried. I think I was drinking to much water with my meals and diluting it so I have managed to drink water and eat fruits and meals in intervals. Now my stomach is okay. My stool is harder. Man I feel great almost all the time.

I keep forgetting to put this in my my posts but each day since the fast feels like weeks and months. I spend most of the days cleaning, researching, and absorbing tons and tons of info. I made my decision to become a nurse/practitioner and then study holistic medicine. And if I am successful I can make a gluten/soy/corn/dairy free vegan restaurant.

Well I hope I gave you some insight. I will now finish my soup. :]]

God bless,
Blaise
