Haven't we been warned so many times about using isolated elements or simple compounds as a cureall ! Look at those who suffered from isolated iron and its consequences, as it turns out Iodine is even more of a danger in its abuses. Promoting these elements in this way is no better then the medical establisments use of pharmaceuticals!
Basically the pharmaceutical industry studies herbs or plant life to isolate the desired elements they believe will appeal to their constituents and give them the immediate results they seek without any consideration for the long term consequences, isolated Iodine or its simple compounds are no different !
