My Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis
Wanted to share my blood test results I got a couple of weeks ago. I've been seeing a holistic Chiropractor, who does Applied Kinesiology and specializes in Functional Medicine (blood chemistry tests, hormone panels, etc).
I've been suffering from bad Hypoglycemia for almost 5 years now. I knew from a previous test that I have Adrenal Fatigue and was told that's causing my Hypoglycemia, but my adrenals would never improve, suggesting I got other issues going on.
Before taking the blood test, my Chiropractor diagnosed me with the following conditions besides my HypoG and AF:
Leaky Gut, stuck open Ileocecal valve, Candida, allergic to mold, heavy metal toxic, being affected by a virus, and suspected I might have Anemia.
He wanted me to take a comprehensive Hormone Panel test (Male Hormones, Adrenal & Stress Hormones,
food intolerance & Immunity) right away along with the blood test, but for financial reasons, I had to hold off.
Before getting the blood test back, he put me on the following supplements:
SyDetox (homeopathic), SyGest (homeopathic), Formula SF734 (Bentonite Clay for heavy metals), a multi-vitamin supp for my HypoG, and told me to keep taking my Hydrochloric Acid (HCL).
Here's my blood results:

The blood results confirmed his initial diagnosis and also revealed I have Hypothyroid, sluggish liver, and Hepatitis. The good thing is that he said I'm not anemic, but he wasn't too far off suspecting it as you can see from my results of lots of problems caused by low B12/Folic Acid.
My Dr. thinks my Hepatitis is caused by Hep B (based on the above results) and I do have yellowing of the skin (but not whites of eyes), but from a friend asking their Naturopath (who does functional medicine too) about me possibly having Hep B, their Dr. interestingly said I mostly likely do not have a virus attacking my liver, but that it's GLUTEN affecting my liver instead, a condition recently coined as "
Celiac Hepatitis."
After researching
Celiac Hepatitis a little, it does say that gluten can attack the liver and raise AST & ALT liver enzymes and Lymphocyte count. My Dr. says it's an interesting diagnosis, but thinks my gluten-free diet would have improved this, so wants to be cautious and treat me as if it's a virus attacking my liver.
So for this potential liver virus, he wanted to put me on this expensive tincture, but I did have a Zapper and through his muscle testing, the Zapper tested positive to help whatever is going on with my liver, so he said go ahead and try it (this proves to me he's not out for $!). He never heard of the Zapper, but does have a Rife machine, so he's open to "Electro-medicine." (Not sure why he hasn't suggested using the Rife for my "liver virus." Will ask him next time why.) I also ordered some
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement recently. He hadn't heard about
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement , but after explaining it to him, he said give it a go and see what happens.
My Dr. plans on having me do a Liver Cleanse after building my liver back up a bit.
Seems like I should do a Gallbladder flush too from all the instances of low HCL, right?
New supplements he has me on is Standard Process'
Hepatrophin PMG (for liver support - started 2 weeks ago) and
Prolamine Iodine (for hypothyroid - started Fri). The SyGest and SF734 seemed to have worked, so he stopped those (He seems to be very good at only giving me what I need and keeping in mind my financial situation.)
He told me to keep taking the SyDetox and upped my HCL dose to 3 tablets per meal, instead of one.
After seeing my Chiropractor for almost a month now, my constipation and yellowing skin have improved, but my Ileocecal valve and Adrenals (and therefore HypoG) have not.
He says I really need to get the Hormone Panel done to see what my Cortisol levels and other hormone levels are in order to really start treating my Adrenals. I do have the money for it now and plan on taking this test tomorrow.
The best thing about all of this so far is
I now have hope! My Dr. found the reasons my Adrenals/Hypoglycemia weren't getting better, even though I was taking all the right store-bought supplements and my diet was spot on. I feel confident that when I get my Hormone Panel test done, he will be able to effectively treat my Adrenals and then finally get some relief from my horrible Hypoglycemia.
I think finding a competent
Holistic Physician who does
Functional Medicine is the the way to go. Otherwise we are just waisting our money and lives.
