I read an article in which the Japanese admitted to this
(or, we could say, informed the public)that they were limiting access that consumed a lot of bandwidth, and sites they consider "recreational". These include Youtube, (understandable, but of course disturbing), Ebay, and Amazon.
Not included are "social networks", because (they say) people have to be able to get in touch with one another. So,is facebook active?

I had been wondering why there was so little information coming from Tokyo, say. And where are the bloggers? There is indeed a blackout. We outside japan are equally 'in the dark'.
