when I look back to the early sixties the idea of a little robot running around with a broom and doing the dishes was warm and fuzzie. "cute"...or that was the idea being sold.
(see my reply to UNy re the *future* of "cute".) UNy's word insidious is a good one, here. It makes me think of how alot of people use the word "cool" these days. It's a different word entirely from the "cool" of my youth, which then used to mean *warm* and human, heart-warm
