Re: Questions about pantethine and other...
What brand of pantothine did you buy and how much is in a gel cap? Have you ever taken pantothenic acid? Ultimately I think it's important to take b complex and pantothenic acid with your pantothine, but I think it will be okay for now to start with the pantothine.
To be safe, try cuting the gel cap open and squeezing out half into some water to drink with your first meal. Just start with that for a day. If that is fine then hold for three days and then add the same dose to your next meal. Hold for three days if fine. Then add the same to your next meal. Hold for three days if fine. I wouldn't take any after 6pm though.
If you take more than you tollerate it might feel stimulating which could potentially crash your blood sugar. You will have to experiment and find the dose that works for you.
I know that some people start off sticking a toothpick in it and just taking what's on the toothpick and building up that way. If you are really sensitive to it, you may have to start that low.
For me, I take a half a 300 mg gel cap with breakfast lunch and dinner. What works for you will likely be different.
I don't know if it will regulate your blood
Sugar right away, but if you don't notice any negative effects that I would just work on building up your dose. When you get to a level that feels stimulating then you know to back off slightly and hold the lower dose.
Can you tollerate nutrtional yeast? Maybe you can add that once you start to stabilize with your pantothine. That way you are getting other b vitamins as well and it's from a food source. I would probably try to have some with every meal once you have stabilized with the pantothine.
I sure hope this helps! Keep us posted!!!!
