Questions about pantethine and other...
Well, I ended up in the ER again this morning. No salt this time. I just ate the meat meal and my BP started climbing. I drank almost a gallon of water to dilute potential imbalanced salt levels, and it didn't help. My mouth felt super dry, etc.
I ate again about three hours ago, and the same thing happened. I just laid down waiting for it to pass. Seems like my system is so out of whack that every meal is causing it now.
I have a hawthorne tincture but I wonder if I'll react badly to it, or the alcohol in it, like I do everything else. Hawthorne is a little sweet. Maybe if I put the tincture on meat?
Anyways, about pantethine.
What dose do you take?
Is there a loading period where it makes the hypoglycemia worse before it gets better? I won't know for sure until I take it, but I need some peace of mind.
How long until I feel effects?
Should I try to balance it with anything, aside from my attempts at broadening my diet?
EDIT: On a sidenote, my ALT and AST numbers were somewhat better today than on Friday. Today my ALT was 169, and my AST was 58, as opposed to the 207 and 78 on Friday.
What's odd is that my sodium was low, even though I've been eating a lot of salt these past several days.
I mentioned my TSH of 4.160 to the doctor and he said it was normal. I disagree though.
We were also talking about insulinomas for a minute. He wants me to try to get off this ketogenic diet I'm on and do a fasting blood test to look for high levels of insulin. If it comes out high, they'll look further. I think MRI is what rules it out. I think insulinoma is what I am most afraid of right now. He said it's extremely rare and doesn't believe I have that, but you know how it is sometimes. Sometimes you're the "lucky winner".
