Yes it is counterintuitive. However I have come across more than one bit of research strongly indicating that this is in fact the case. I'm sorry but I don't have this research handy or I would provide a link.

I don't eat fruit. I have always believed it is best to starve Candida. However I am not 100% convinced this is the best strategy. I don't doubt you feel bloated after eating fruit. However maybe it is better to have a lot of free yeast in the bowel than the invasive fungal form of Candida. I have an open mind about this.

You are right in what you say about Antibiotics . They certainly allow Candida to go invasive.
