excellent point, Chris, though it might startle some people here, who might feel we've been saying something else: it's more that they've been hearing only one part of what's been said--the water-fasting as healing part.


I too begin to see way too much 'culture of water fasting' as if it were all of life. But leaped into, and then leaped out of, as well. Making it all a slightly silly engagement--and missing the point. This new culture seems to be overweighted with people who are very often on "day one!" Or who post their plans, and rally suppoort and then don't post that they broke the fast, but soon start posting again, about a future fast.
