Most common Water Fast definition: "Fasting is primarily the act of willingly abstaining from some or all food, drink, or both, for a period of time."
Your definition includes a *lot* of extras, most of which seem unnecessary.
For instance, I had such severe acid reflux on day 5 of this Water Fast that I couldn't sleep for many hours, and was choking back stomach acid. Warm water made no difference. I mixed half a tablespoon of baking soda with water to neutralize some of the acid, which took the edge off.
Would you argue that my water 20-day Water Fast is moot because I took some (otherwise neutral) 'medication'?
