If I do not have a lot of salt in my diet I get dehydrated, no matter how much water I drink. I get dizzy, can't concentrate and urinate small amounts constantly, my body doesn't hold the water. When I have salt my body retains the water, I don't have symptoms. I believe this is what Dr.Batmanghelidj says in his book "Your Body's Many Cries for Water". It's a balance.
