And now, today...
...The Canadian government is banning incandescent light bulbs...saying we must use the ones with mercury (in the base?).
They are doing it by refusing to let the retailers buy any more incandescents.
Has it been a year since the conference in Nairobi? Obama even sent delegates. People who have been working against mercury poisoning for decades.
They gave the numbers, in pounds. The objective is to lower worldwide production. I can't help but wonder how long methyl-mercury lasts. I think about the slugs of it in my mouth. And that I swallowed when a dentist drilled out a cracked filling, without benefit of rubber dam. I was spitting chunks of it for days, and some has worked it's way into one or two spots against my esophagus.
Have you noticed that medical doctors don't look in your mouth anymore? They don't use tongue depressors, and when you suspect mercury poisoning they murmur about dentists.
Not on MY watch, babe!
The medical profession allowed dentists to use the stuff. Now take responsibility!
So, what happens if there is a domestic fight and a lamp is thrown?
What happens to the house?
Is it called 'contaminated' and loses all its market value?
Well, what happens to a house with copper piping?
I accuse!
So, there!
