...And, can this work for human wastes, too?

Then again, Dr. Green says that pet waste is too concentrated for use in the vegetable garden.

I can imagine that there must be a way to dilute the material, over time, perhaps, to make it suitable for any garden use.

...Except where a person or animal has been taking meds or supplements.

According to one medical doctor, at a conference on water, the microscopic life forms in our water are changing with the meds, etc.

Also, I learned a long time ago that water purifies itself in only a few feet, when it runs over rocks. I had thought this to be always true, but now I'd like to see some tests performed, first.

I love that you figure out constructions where you get the same effects for free or very low cost, Spud.

Here, in our town, they make compost from the garden trash collected, mainly trees, Christmas trees, leaves, etc. But I think they also use the processed sludge from sewage.

That raises the whole 'meds, etc.' question again. The city should offer a class in composting, I think...if anyone knows.

There are all kinds of pollutants that get into our water. Many are added on purpose, like chlorine and copper sulfate (to keep down green algae), and the copper leeched from copper pipes, before they were banned. There are lots of homes with the old copper pipes.

Nobody has yet figured out what to do with them.

The body has a copper/zinc balance and there is such a thing as a 'copper personality'. Look it up.

I wonder if someone in Vancouver, B.C. fooled with copper sulfate in the drinking water in 1938 - early 1940's... when I was a toddler.
