Re: Pro-Choice vs Pro-Life = *EDIT*

"Mira, when Pro-Life people want to outlaw Abortion for women, this is because they want "No-Choice" for the woman, in other words, they want every pregnancy carried out and every Baby born, and the Law changed to enforce that.
Spin this as you will, however you saying that this is different than it actually is, does not make it so."

--No, no! You're making broad and judgmental generalizations and there are many, many dimensions to this debate. For example, early-term abortions, late-term abortions, pregnancies due to rape and incest, "convenience" repeat abortions, etc., etc. People hold a wide variety of opinions on these different issues. I really see it as a put-down to categorize people like this! I respectfully ask you to stop doing this,
Mira
PS Are you telling me that I'm using "Spin"?

(Because I'm one of the most straightforward people I know).

No-choice is a definition given to the position taken by those that wish for a woman to have no-choice whether to terminate a pregnancy or not.
This is not a generalisation, this is a definition.
It doesn't matter at what stage of pregnancy a woman may choose to terminate, what the no-choice position is, is that a woman cannot choose at any stage.
This is not a difficult concept to grasp.
A defined position is necessary in any debate, defining a position, is not categorising a person or people. spud

--I disagree. The words "no choice" as you're using them are used as propaganda IMO, as used by the pro choice movement. Yet it's me that you're insinuating is using "spin". It's the people involved in the debate who define the debate. As I said in my previous post, many people hold a wide variety of opinions as to when an unborn baby has a right to life, they have opinions on late term vs early term abortions, etc. (see above), and our laws reflect this,

Best wishes,
Mira
