Re: It's been a long time

I completely know where you are coming from. I actually have attempted suicide twice because of exactly what you are talking about.

My main reason was I was excelling at my job but going everyday was torture. I worked in a bank and the amount of comments was endless, always in within earshot but never to my face. It was so hard earning the respect of my peers and clients and having it completely undermined by a bad odor day, or week, or month.

I also didn't have a love life or whenever I did develop something it never lasted long. They just couldn't deal with it long term or I would push them away because I never liked going out places.

Now though, I am glad that I didn't succeed. I am happy now because I have learned about TMAU and have hope in the development of a cure. There are organizations out there doing test studies. Here is an email of one, they are doing testing for TMAU at the cheapest price I've seen so far. tmautest@meboresearch.org They are also looking into a real cure...like an FMO3 enriched probiotic.

In the mean time you have tons of advice on your post on how to mellow the odor. Personally I feel that altering your diet is not an answer but it can help temporarily till a cure is found. Eating a variety of food is what makes life...well life. But for now you can learn to cut out the main problem foods (eggs, fish, red meat, dairy, wheat, soy, broccoli, cabbage, greens, bananas, citrus fruit) then you can work up to the full on TMAU diet. I only do the hard core diet the week of my period. I have invested tons of money on supplements and cleanses. Honestly, none worked for me. So I would stick to an inexpensive home cleanse. Like a salt cleanse and apple juice liver flush. The only supplement I would buy is the activated charcoal after each meal.

Please don't listen to these people talking about hell or reincarnation. I think that God understand what a horrible condition this is. But there are other things to live for then a love life. You never know what might come your way so don't give up yet.
