Re: It's been a long time
Antibiotics kill bacteria only. That's all they do. And if that helps what other proof you need? Like I said, vast majority had their odor not there when on xifaxan. But it comes back, mostly not as bad though. If it was due to candida,
Antibiotics should make the smell WAY worse, because they make even more space for fungus to grow. Back in the day I thought it was all caused by candida. Thanks to curezone and everyone who had no effin clue what they were talking about. I spent a bunch of money on caprylic acid, threelac, coconut oil and all the rest. I was on a candida diet too. I did have some small improvements, but that's because the candida diet and the diet for bacteria are very similar. No
Sugar being the most important. I also have had an endoscopy, and so have many others on our forum. No candida in the esophagus or duodenum even though a lot of us have thrush. But thrush in our case is just an indicator of bad gut balance. In fact a lot of people have thrush to some extent and they dont even know/notice. All thanks to the western garbage diet.
EDIT:
I just remembered. I think 3 people from our group have taken the lactulose breath test, which examines if you have an overgrowth of bacteria in the small bowel. All came positive. You do the math.
