Yes. I think some people may have SIBO alone. A surprising number of Bacteria also produce Acetaldehyde. But I think that the conditions that promote SIBO also promote Candida.

I kept thinking about MD's who keep saying there's no "single" pathogen that causes Candida. At first I thought they were just, you know, jerks.

But now I understand that there are a group of pathogens involved. It's all about fermentation and it's byproducts, and where it's occurring.

I still think that C. Albicans is the most toxic, and most threatening of the pathogens, and has the potential to kill you. I know that I had it too. It was in my skin and prostate. And the die off from antifungals was horrific.

It doesn't scare me as much now though. As you said in an earlier post, they never find it during Colonoscopy. The fermentation activity and competition for small amounts of sugars in the large bowel is very hard for Yeast to dominate.

But the small bowel is like fresh open fields without much competition.
